Vi er stolte og glade over endelig å ha fått Bill Taylor med til Norge igjen! Dette kurset er det vi har fått mest igjen for til bruk i klinikken. Her får du en hel masse verktøy du kan bruke med en gang!

Derfor måtte vi få Bill tilbake til Norge - og denne gangen vil han levere hele fire ulike kurs! Dette er nummer 1 i rekken og er en oppdatert versjon av det kurset som var i 2022 og tidligere i regi av NFF. Derfor kan det være nyttig for de som var på kurset sist og. For å ta de neste kursene lønner det seg å ha tatt det første (nå eller tidligere), men ellers er det ingen rekkefølge og du kan ta den du ønsker. De to neste er Strength and Conditioning course og
Pelvic neurology. Det vil også komme en egen for ultralyd av bekkenbunnen.

Kurs nr 2 om pelvic pain and pelvic neurology er de to neste dagene (25-26 oktober) så det er mulig å kombinere de to.

Lokalttog går også til Billingstad stasjon med kort gåavstand.

The Athletic Pelvis Updated

This course is aimed at Pelvic Health  and MSK Physios. 
The aim of the course is to explore the connection between Pelvic Floor  Function and Dysfunction and the role the pelvic floor plays in sport and activity. 

The Program includes external assessment of the pelvic girdle and internal assessment per vagina or rectum.
It looks at the male and / or female pelvis 
It is two days long with a large practical component


The course will look at how  
* How to assess the connection between the hip and groin and pelvic floor 
* How to assess the lumbar spine, SIJ and the lower limb for factors contributing to your patient’s pelvic pain 
* Tests you can perform to differentiate hip joint/SIJ/LS involvement in pelvic pain 
* Differential Diagnosis of common hip & groin injuries- including hernia and nerve issues 
* How to plan a active treatment programme to fully address your patients dysfunction 

* The course will have a focus on practical assessment and clinical reasoning and  will consist of lectures where interaction will be encouraged !
* The practical labs will help consolidate the clinical reasoning with the taught practical skills.

Learning outcomes 
1. Develop an understanding of the Athletic Pelvis in the Complex Domain 
2. Consider a critical assessment of the Bio-psychosocial Paradigm. 
3. Explore the many causes of Pelvic Pain in Athletes 
4. Explore a new paradigm of looking at Pelvic Girdle Pain 
5. Acquire new evidence informed Assessment techniques for the Pelvic Girdle. Develop clinical reasoning skills to apply evidence informed treatment and prescribe exercise programmes. Practical Lab 1 Movement Assessment In pelvic Pain
6. Investigate the concept of Entities when considering Anteromedial and Lateral Hip pain. 
7. Practical assessment and treatment skills for AM & Lateral Hip Pain Practical Lab 2. 
8. Exploration of hernia and Hip joint impingement and the physio role in these conditions 
9. Investigate the entities of Posterior Gluteal Pain and Anterior gluteal pain. 
10. Practical Assessment and treatment strategies for the above
Pelvic pain 
11. Pain theory 
12. Pain Assessment 
13. Cognitive Functional Therapy for Pelvic pain 
14. Pelvic Neurology 
15. Advanced Manual Therapy for pelvic pain ( nerve , soft tissue release ) 
16. Exercise for Pelvic Pain
17. Practical labs for Pelvic pain Assessment 

Bill Taylor has been a Physiotherapist for almost 40 years, with over 20 years experience in the treatment of pelvic dysfunction. He is widely recognized in the UK & internationally as being one of the leading pelvic health physios and one of the few who specialize in male pelvic floor dysfunction. 
He is a graduate of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy and has spent most of his career treating the Musculoskeletal System using manual therapy and  exercise. 
He has a special interest in Chronic Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and the use of manual and exercise therapy in addressing this condition. 
He has contributed a chapter to the textbook, Chronic Pelvic Pain and Dysfunction entitled The Effect of Sport and Exercise on Chronic Pelvic Pain.  He also complied the chapter on Pelvic Girdle Assessment in the text Neuro-musculoskeletal Assessment. 
He has taught widely in UK, Europe, Scandinavia & Israel on male and female pelvic health. 
He is one of the few UK based Physiotherapists to work full-time in male and female pelvic health and has built one of UK's biggest pelvic health clinics.  
Additionally he has worked with Scottish Ballet and Scottish Dance Theatre  for over 20 years. He was integral in the development of a full time Physiotherapy service to the National Ballet after which he continued as Consultant Physiotherapist for a number of years . 
He continues to work with dancers of all ages and abilities in his Edinburgh clinic. 
He is a Visiting Lecturer at Edinburgh University where he contributes to the MSc in Dance Science and Education, teaching  the Preventative Dance Injury  Module. 
He has also been  a visiting Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University where he has taught  on the BSc /MSc Midwifery course and the MSc Physiotherapy course. 
He has been mentoring students in the clinic for over 20 years as well as supervising undergraduate thesis projects. 
Recently he has become a member of the visiting Faculties at Burnell and Keele Universities. 
He has a passion to share his knowledge of pelvic floor dysfunction and the Physiotherapy treatment of this area.

På grunn av stor pågang har vi behov for gynekolog på klinikken. Du vil få tilgang på opparbeidet pasientliste. Vi ønsker helst en som vil jobbe her fulltid, men er også åpen for deltid.

Du vil ha en topp moderne ultralydmaskin, GE Voluson E8. Rommet og klinikken er helt nyoppusset og moderne. Du vil jobbe med en stor tverrfaglig gjeng som er faglig dyktige og veldig engasjerte i kvinnehelse.
